Any suggestions?

My new house is fairly close to the river and there is a small crab apple tree in my yard. The deer seem to love this tree. How do I know, even though I've yet to see a dear in my yard? Because they leave presents on the lawn each time they visit.

Here is a pic... although its not one of my piles but it basically looks the same...
