I don't even know where to start here.

Half of you Stamps fans are totally downtrodden and think this team doesn't have a chance (although it is probably just the emotion talking, in a few days you'll be back), some of you are in complete denial and just brushing off this loss, saying the entire west is weak (as if that makes the Stamps being mediocre OK, despite the fact they are best in the west by a mile on paper), and some of you think nothing is wrong and this team should be 18-0 by the end of the season and that the four losses so far are just a bad dream.

My view: Stamps are about the same team they've been the last few years. Great potential, brutal defence and inconsistent offence (at times).

While the Rambo injury hurts this team they still have a lot of weapons to do some damage. The defence needs to gel and it needs to gel quickly. These types of games are happening WAY too often to the Stamps, especially at the beginning of the season, over the last few years.

Burris had a great night (as did the entire Stamps offence), now Burris needs to get into his midseason form, as he seems to do every season, and pick up his game as the season goes along.

Bad thing for the Stamps is that they could and perhaps should be in control of the West division by now. I laugh at all the comments about the other West teams because Calgary is very close to being tied for last with BC if BC wins tonight.

Calgary has really wasted an opportunity to build up a big lead in the West early in the season. BC is an ok team that should be able to squeak out enough wins to finish about .500 (give or take a couple wins or a couple losses), Edmonton looks like they may finally be over that hump and their new coach could be on to something. The Riders look ok, except the major problem of no QB. If Durant can iron out the wrinkles the Riders could be dangerous in the west.

I think all four West teams have underachieved to a certain extent, but none more than the Stamps who are now wasting games that they probably should be winning.

Luckily for the West TO and WPG look bad enough they will probably fail to qualify for the playoffs and we'll see one of the west teams play in the East SF.

Big game for the Riders and for Hamilton coming up on Sunday. Assuming BC beats TO tonight the Riders need to win to keep pace with the Esks and not fall back with BC and Cgy. Also Hamilton can prove whether or not Mtl is the only actual good team in the CFL and avoid falling hard back to earth after giving steeltown something to believe in for a few weeks. TiCats have a dangerous run game and the Riders haven't looked great against the run so it could be interesting.
