Damn those Eagles.
I, for one, am absolutely disgusted they let him back in the NFL. I think it's a disgrace to athletic professionalism and societal tolerance that after having 'invested' the money he earned in games of such horror, he gets the chance to do it all over again.
Does everyone deserve a second chance? It reminds me of Heatley and his dramatic car crash, but that was an accident (albeit a stupid one). Vick's ring of canine terror was organized and funded by his exorbitant earnings as a pro athlete. What image does this send to the world? As all as you're good you can pretty much do anything you want with little punishment? Just because he received and sat out his jailtime, doesn't mean his slate is clean. If I run a dog fighting ring, I don't need to expect to get my job back after I've gone to jail for it.
I for one will boycott anything Eagles related, and hope the organization will get pressured heavily by the pubilc and their fans.
