slightly off topic, but my Dad and a friend replaced the railing on our deck (previously wide horizontal rods = easy for our 2yr. old daughter to fall off) with a whole stack of pressure treated 2x2's. The new railing is great (safety wise), but it desperately needs to be sanded (I have a funny feeling this would have been much more efficient if done BEFORE installing the 2x2's as a railing) and then painted.
Any advice for sanding / painting pressure treated wood? Any recommendations for a contractor for someone who feels too lazy to do it themselves?
Thanks!
