I have assorted strange things I do at night, most are a part of narcolepsy. I never fall asleep during the day though, I just get the occurrences that have to do with my sleep cycle at night. An MRI and some blood work later, and they have me on thyroid medication. 95% of the symptoms have gone away.

I used to watch tv in my sleep, sometimes for the entire night, and wake up the next morning exhausted from basically not sleeping. Sleep sex, jumping out of bed, walking around in my sleep, talking to 'ghosts', seeing things floating around in the room, laundry, you name it I have done it. My wife finds it funny, except for when I wake her up staring at her.

Anyone can have narcoleptic symptoms, but the odd person has them all the time.
