I just came back from Wancouver. I highly recommend the Sandbar on Grandville Island.

I'm going to say no to the Sultan's tent - I though it was overpriced on my chicken (had the fish one another time) tangine to be blah at best. Awesome ambience, but the food itself is blah. Icing and mincemeat pie didn't go over too well either.

Chalk another one down for Ho Won though. HANDS DOWN it has the best salt and pepper squid in the city. Their flavoring is the absolute best. $10 for a huge plate. Warning - eat it there, take out will cause it to be soggy. It's a crappy Chinatown dive so don't bring anyone too fussy.
