Also, another question for you...which keyboard do you find is the best? Any programs that are "must downloads"?
Thanks for all your help- I probably will go for the Touch. I can bear some glitches and a less than ideal interface if it gets me cheap unlimited data.

Well I know you can hack the GPS so it can work without the monthly fee. However, I just use GoogleMaps and it works for me so I can't tell you how the Bell GPS works. I forgot my link cable in Edmonton so next time I head back I could try to hack it and report back.
Keyboard... there's a couple online you can try out or the ones they have for you. I downloaded the diamond keyboard and it's probably my favorite.
As for applications... Googlemaps definitely a must and try different browsing applications. My favorite is Opera, my friend likes sky fire. But I can't remember if they fixed it but it used to be in Opera, you had to use the keyboard with all the letters.... like a real keyboard and not the keyboard with 2/3 letters on it. I left my phone in the car and when I go to get it I'll let you know.
Also, with the interface, you can change it too. Some people added the Android interface, diamond interface etc. Not sure how well these work though. I was using the Android before it was finished and it was a tad glitchy but they should be done it now so it should be good.
No, Bell is still going to have CDMA still. They're only putting GSM for the olympics so they have lots of $$ from foreigners. But if you're looking at a GSM phone only, it might work for you now. (I'm not sure though)
