Edmonton police arrested a man Tuesday who, in less than one week, allegedly used the Internet to lure four women to remote areas and sexually assaulted them.
Readman did not have exact dates for all four assaults, said the first assault was on July 29 and the last at 6 a.m. Tuesday. That one occurred mere hours after police attempted to arrest the suspect early Tuesday morning and failed.
“We attempted to make an arrest, but unfortunately there was a foot pursuit and he got away,” Readman said.
However, he was arrested just before noon Tuesday. The name of the 22-year-old has not been released, since charges have not yet been formally laid.
