Heritage Festival has a much better cultural diversity and Edmonton makes it into a serious event. Calgary has diverse options but not even close to Edmonton. Also it seems just like an small event in Calgary.

He's talking about a different event - Taste of Edmonton is like Taste of Calgary (and taste of Manitoba and Saskatchewan) - it's restaurants selling small samples of their food. Heritage Festival is a cultural food event, where cultural groups (and sometimes it's a restaurant from that culture) sell small samples. It's like Folklorama in Winnipeg or Folk Fest in Saskatoon, only in one location, not separate venues for each country. I think Calgary still has a small event that goes with the global fest fireworks?
