Some of the questions seem to me a bit slanted toward current events, rather than being abstract questions of "principle." It makes for a problem when a question is phrased like this:

It's obviously meant to make you think of the Iraq war--but the problem is that although I didn't love the decision to go to war in Iraq, I actually agree with the above statement in the abstract--because it's so vague. I generally oppose war, but even I can conceive of a situation in which "war is necessary, even if it means you strike first," if the only limit is my imagination. I'm forced to answer "Agree strongly," even though in general I oppose pre-emptive war.
