Well, in terms of sending a message, Calgary Elbow had a by-election to replace Ralph Klein. People were angry with Ed, so they elected a liberal (Craig Cheffins). That 'message' they sent lasted only until the next general election when the riding was again Tory blue.
So even if Calgary Glenmore does send a message, don't read too deeply into it.
