White people - as a whole - in America simply have not suffered the way Black people have. No one is stopping you (or shaming you) from being proud of your ancestral heritage, but it is extremely repulsive to me when people ignorantly say there is no need for rights and advocacy organizations and pride events for black people, gay people, jewish people, or any other group of people that have suffered, and continue to suffer injustices in society.
It's easy to blame whites all the time, but blacks, jews, asians, etc are just as racist and xenophobic as whitey. Every group has their own stereotypes, and they don't just go away because their ancestors were oppressed.
