We did this as well. Don't be afraid to negotiate a price with these guys either. They'll give you a rate that includes your gate fee which was about $6-9/person. The guides have multiple park passes that they just guide you through the gates. When we went we paid about $13 per person for a group of 5, but you might be able to do better. If you feel the need to take the train on the road in/out of the park do so, but the 10-20 minute walk wasn't worth the $5 in my opinion.
