I would think you could have an expert check that out rather than trying to get a camera for a one off, but i'm not sure.

If you have sliders that are over 10 years old, that's probably the case. I would recommend casement (crank out) windows next time if you can afford them. They are much better insulators.

Also- are the kid's rooms above a garage by any chance? If so, the heat may be escaping through a poorly insulated barrier between the garage and house.
