There's an infamous local legend from Estevan, Saskatchewan named Art Doobie. He was caught twice fooking a horse. Apparently, his defense in court went something along the lines of "...well...horses need loving too." I think the nickname '5-gallon Allen' came from the needed elevation to perform his loving.

I was framing condos at Shagganapi Golf course years ago when I heard the foreman calling everyone 'Art Doobie'. I just about pissed myself, it was so random. Turns out the guy was from Weyburn...Estevan's arch rival.
