From what I've been able to gather, they claim to not have consented to these acts and statutes, yet they participate in them (having a license, driving a car, buying a loaf of bread) and when something happens that they don't agree with, they pull this Freeman of the Land BS and say that "you're rules don't apply to me" (at this particular moment)
So if Tower was to go into a 7-11 and try to take a Slurpee without payment, even under common law he still has to provide something in exchange for that slurpee, and in this case the acceptable form of "payment" is that of Canadian currency, because that holds a certain value to 7-11. Otherwise, it's theft of property.
