Farrakhan is as militant and hate filled as he can get. He received $6 million dollars in gifts from Libya during the 80's I think. He had a pretty big hand in the death of Malcolm X, where he basically incited the NOI to a point where they killed him. He's a conspiracy wack job when it comes to 9/11, and also accussed President Bush of dynamiting levee's during the New Orleans crisis to intentionally kill blacks.
His views on gay marriage are views that get people crucified on this board.

Well, not much he said shocked me as I kind of expected a hardline stance from a guy like that, but nobody is perfect. In viewing some of his other speeches, I think he has a pretty good handle on American foreign policy.
His views on gay marriage are not politically correct, I agree, but in America one has the freedom to speak his mind.
Also, I am not very familiar with his past involvment with Malcolm-X, but he speaks positively about him in the stuff I have seen.
I do not agree with you saying he is a "militant".....what do you mean by that? He seems to be spread the message that muslims are peaceful and that he does not support U.S. wars, foreign policy etc.
BTW..........what is NOI?
