I think the President gets too much blame when things go wrong, and too much credit when things go right anyway. He is far more controlled than controller.

When it comes to the president, everyone of them gets a sign that say the buck stops here.
Bush II wasn't a great president, and from day 1 he took the slings and arrows of everyone and got little praise for the little that went right.
Obama is getting judged on a softer criteria right now, but I expect that the grading curve is going to get steeper over the next couple of months.
