The Abbotsford Heat have sucked away 300-plus season ticket holders, but the Bruins woes go well beyond the AHL.


“We anticipated a dip, primarily because of the Heat. But we didn’t think it would be like this,” Porter said. “Over a two-year period, we’re going to be down about 35 to 40 per cent. We knew the team in Abbotsford would hurt us. What we didn’t anticipate was the lack of local response.”
