Perhaps on your first conviction, provided its a simple impaired conviction with no injuries and no accident you get a long suspension. Any subsequent convictions or any injuries/accident/death related to your first conviction and it's bye bye driving privileges.

I agree. But, if you are charged with a DUI, and if you kill somebody, you should be charged with 2nd degree murder... even if its your first DUI.
