I don't know what amnation.com is or even if it's real, but here it is for what it's worth.

After reading this it looks like Gates has a huge chip on his shoulder and was looking for a fight.

I blame this whole episode on Gates. It appears that the police officer acted in a thoroughly professional manner. The same cannot be said for Gates.
