40g of carbs is kinda low.
Especially if you're only looking at dropping 10 lbs.
Its too much hit or miss with lowering your carbs. I honestly can't say how many you should be eating. I would try 200g, and give yourself 2 weeks or so to see what happens. Just to be on the safe side.
