and besides that you could use other criteria, the little chinese family who owns the convenience store and the business model is buy crap at costco and sell it for a a higher price. I may say to myself "I do not want to reward such a non innovative business model, so I will say nothing", but the real reason is that I want free money.

Your view of human nature is far too simple. A lot of people think like this but certainly not everyone.
I think most people "steal" from big corporations because they don't feel obligated to maintain a level of honesty that was not maintained with the sale. Companies with large budgets for marketing use every trick in the book to make you buy from them. Marketing today might as well be stealing. This makes me angry and not exactly keen on the idea of being honest with them. Honesty they will surely take advantage of if they can. They only care about the bottom line, so when I deal with them I will only care about the bottom line.
