I should say whole grains. Yes a diet of refined carbs is bad. But if you are eating quinoa, brown rice, bulgur wheat, millet as your staple grains along with lots portions of vegetables, fruit and legumes then that really can't be beat health wise. And of course, eat alot of fat, monounsaturated fat like olive oil with your vegetables and grains.
