I agree with using monoprice- just read their reviews.

What I did for mine was the following:
- ran electrical up from the basement making it ground fault (it's in the bathroom.) I cut a hole in the wall of the closet behind where the TV was going.
- determined the placement of the TV and cut a rectangular hole smaller than the inside of my mount.
- Placed a couple of 2x6s in the wall and attached them using drywall screws. Now the mount has the added strength of going into wood.
- Then placed the mount on the wall. As mentioned, get it level, and check it again.
