yeah those nosings are expensive. Are the stairs open or closed? I have both - open and closed, for the open ones I was thinking about just getting slabs of wood (which is essentially what it is already, wrapped with carpet) and staining them. Figured it'd be a lot cheaper than getting hardwood. I've seen in it a buddies house who put probably $250,000+ renos in his townhouse. He didn't do it to save money. I think it was just "an option" they chose... I never thought about it before, then saw them and realized it was just nice wood stained or painted.
As for someone, Flames Gimp might know someone if he's no longer doing it.
