No....people decide what is important. Thats why ratings are what drives what is shown. Media is a business that is in business to make money. If you dont think something as big as what is being claimed here wouldnt have MASSIVE ratings, you are kidding yourself.

You have it all backwards man.........
To me, the mainstream media creates garbage entertainment (all in the name of the dollar of course) that distracts the public from paying attention to what their elected members and corporate leaders are actually doing........

Real media doesnt "create" anything. They simply report/investigate what happens or what has happened. And they do cover their elected leaders every single freakin day of the week.....just turn on any of the main networks or cable stations to see this.

I believe free press barely exists in North America nowadays. We are on a "need to know" basis....

Another one claiming that government controls media? Seriously?

But I guess celebrities, reality TV, and the latest flu pandemic hoaxes are what is really important.

They are all part of what people want to see....ALONG with what politicians and CEO's and all the rest of that stuff.
Unless you think every station should only focus on what elected officials are doing 24 hours a day...then i am not sure what your point is.
