Go to IGN and watch the videos on "Online Franchise".
It is a 32 (NFL, I think 32 teams.) league that you get to pick a team, and run it for a year with 30+ friends/other players. You can trade players, play each other, etc.
I so wish NHL 10 would have it, and if not 10, for the 20th anniversary, NHL 11.
