You do not need paid postage to send letters/notices to the following government;
Government Mail Free of Postage allows for mail to be sent to and from the following individuals free of postage provided that both the sender and receiver are in Canada.
- The Governor General
- The speaker or clerk of the Senate or House of Commons
- The Parlimentary Librrarian or Associate Parliamentary Librarian
- Members of the Senate
- Members of the house of Commons (see section 3.1 "Parliamentary Mailings Using Unaddressed Admail")
- the Conflict of Intrest and Ethics Commisioner or senate Ethics Officer.
Included Services:
- Lettermail
- Incentive Lettermail (Ha ha ha)
- Addressed Admail (including Dimensional Addressed Admail)
- Publications Mail
- Unaddressed Admail (Printed Matter only)
Not included:
- Parcel Services
- Registered Mail
- Coverage for loss or damage
- Address Correction
So Like the 'rite line' don't spend money if you don't need to! I received this info from a Clerk at Canada Post when I asked for it. She was helpful and a sweetheart!
