A bit of background. I have always liked the Gibson Les Pauls and their sound but I bought a LP Voodoo a while back and thought that it would be the coolest thing. I found I didnt like playing it cause of the neck being so big. So it never got played.
My bandmate who is also a guitar builder suggested we find a Fender Strat and basically turn it into a LP. So I found a Strat in Calgary and had my other band mate pick it up for me. We then ripped out the electronics and added a the seymour duncan vintage blues pickups. They are humbuckers calibrated for the neck and bridge position. We put in a three way switch with single tone and volume knobs. We blocked the bridge as I dont use a whammy bar anyways and voila...this is what we ended up with. I just got it back yesterday and will be trying it out shortly at our next band practise.

Take pride in it, looks like it's going to fit you to a T. Has the same look almost of the guitar I picked up in
