Yeah , I think the indignation is a little overblown here. My little guy, who's not quite two got out of bed, opened his door and then wandered downstairs to unlock the deadbolt and go out the front door a couple of weeks ago while we were all sleeping. We didn't even know that he knew how to work the deadbolt at the time, but according to the OP I'm probably mentaly (sic) challenged and should be sterilised.
