I'd rather spend that money on a defensive midfielder that we so sorely lacked last year. We have plenty of attacking options to make up for the goal scoring (van Persie, Bentdner, Vela, Eduardo and Arshavin).

I see, well Man City seems to have adopted the Man U/RM approach to team building, which is to buy until it stops sucking and then get rid of the extras, while throwing in a little Tampa Bay Lightning Style....keep buying forwards and hope the rest takes care of itself.
I must say though that Man City will have a pretty impressive attack though; Robinho, Tevez, Jo, Bellamy and Roque Santa Cruz will give them lots of options.
