Calgary liquor stores slow to react to tax repeal

"We're rolling back prices as new product comes in, but we have a lot of product right now that we paid higher tax on," he said. "On key items, we're going to bring the costs down quicker, and we'll be forced to absorb that loss, which I think some other retailers are doing. But for the most part, everyone's waiting for their inventory to clear out."
Julian Koziak, chairman of the Alberta Liquor Industry Roundtable, made a similar statement in a news release.
"As inventory that was priced at the higher taxed level is replaced with lower taxed product, Albertans will see price decrease," he said.

Funny how they forget to mention that prices went up automaticly when the tax was increased
