No not really... this is a tough place for self pity or self engrandizement and other things. As it should be. There are a lot of very smart people on here that don't let you get away with much. If you're wrong they tell you. I've been wrong on more than one occasion and its been pointed out to me.
As for the joke... it was about the quickness on your part to pick up the small self embellishment on Jpold's part.. (well not self embellishment on his part but he obviously felt the need to let people know that he wasn't just a delivery driver) ... you know...slash with the knife of truth to point out to everyone that J Pold felt it necessary to explain his employment...
I'm not sure if I'm explaining this well...
