Sure, the weights are a bit expensive. Something like $450 for the 500# I have right now. But, I don't like working out around other people. My own schedule, my own timing. And I don't want to hurry because some idiot wants to use the same station.
About the missed workouts....don't worry about it. Like I said when you first started this, there will be days or weeks when you simply can't get a workout in. This has happened a lot to me over the past year, and my progress never slowed that much.
Over the course of a 80 year period where you can exercise is some way, your body isn't going to punish you for 7 days of that.
