I understand that. An abortion might be in some people's minds a medical treatment etc etc and might be "needed" on some people's minds. OK, I can get that. I disagree, but I get it.
The parade is not necessary, it's not medical, or life and death, it's just flamboyant trash that I shouldn't be paying for.
