My favourite is when they expect some kind of discount because they're paying in cash.
When I was selling my old iPhone for $400, one guy was such a knob. He sent me the same email 4 times. Something like, "If I pay cash, will you take $200?"
Finally, I answered the guy back with, "After careful consideration of your offer, I have decided to sell the phone for $100 to a guy who is paying my personal cheque. Cash is just such an inconvenience. Regards."
Like seriously. I get that it's their culture, but it's not our culture. Just like it would be rude for me to go to some places in Asia and look people in the eye, it's rude to come to Canada and offer me half of what I'm selling it for.
Regardless of culture, though, it's completely idiotic to expect a discount for paying in cash.
