Oh come on now, this is a little overboard don't you think?
Nowhere in my post did I say that the abuse he was subject to was any justification or "free pass" for anything he may have done. As a child of abuse myself, I would never try to claim "I was abused" as a defense for anything I've done in my life. What I've done, I've done. Not my father. Not his "pals". Just me. I only have myself to blame.
The same goes for MJ,
if he did what was he was accused of then he did it all on his own, his abuse is no excuse. Me personally, I just didn't see a predator when that whole thing was in the media. Perhaps I am reflecting my own experiences on what I saw with his case. Maybe I didn't see the things that usually set off my "abuser radar" with the coverage we were privy to. I just wasn't convinced.
But whatever really happened none of us will ever know. You won't change your mind and neither will I, but this situation can hardly be compared to the Pickton case.
