So I just saw a sneak peek of Bruno(pretty ridiculous, had its moments, but nothing great.....6/10) and at the end of the movie, the theatre erupts in applause. This is the 5th consecutive movie that I have been to where people are clapping at the end. Not just premieres, regular showings as well. I saw the Hangover like a month after it came out and there was clapping.

Why do people do this?? If the creator was in the audience, I would understand, or hell, even if the caterer was in the audience, I would kind of understand. But come on, what's the point?? It makes zero sense. It makes as much sense as starting a thread about clapping in movie theatres, but I had to vent because it just drives me nuts.

Am I alone??
