Thats a pretty heated topic in the Yankees Universe. If Joba has a good start then the debate leans to him remaining in the rotation. If he has a poor outing like yesterday then the debate leans to him being put back in the Bull Pen. He was drafted as a starter and is only 23 years old. Most pitchers need a little seasoning to become dominate or consistent. Part of the problem is the Yankees don't have anybody better to replace him in the rotation. Especially with Wang being put on the DL. Some feel Phil Hughes should be in the rotation instead of Joba. Hughes has been pitching well in relieve this season so Girardi wants to keep him in the Bull Pen. Unless Joba really self destructs on a consistent basis, then I think the Yanks will continue to keep him in the rotation.
