As a side note, and one I find particularly amusing, the union thinks it will be able to fine me $1000 for every time I cross the picket line. It's part of my contract with the union. (They'll apparently be trying to fine a heck of a lot of people in the coming days....) However, as I've just discovered, I am actually no longer apart of the union. As per my union agreement, I am part of the union so long as I work for Telus under their contract. I am not doing so if I cross the picket line, I am working under a contract that Telus proposed to the union, and I individually accepted. Because the union did not accept it, I am not working under them. Much like the management who is also working for Telus, but not under the union, I now have my own contract with Telus... HAHAHAHAHAHA... when the union tries to collect it's fines from us, they are going to be in for a rude surprise when they find out they have no legal jurisdiction to do so!
