Yeah, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that this is definitely calculated strategery (hey, I just made up a word). I think why they're doing this probably has something to do with knowing that this will be a summer hit for awhile and then it'll fade off and they'll discontinue it. Creating this demand is a way for them to maximize profits on a temporary brand instead of a regular release with only moderate hype. The whole aspect of having to wait to try it has an amazing power over consumers. Hearing people talk about it makes everyone want to try it. If it was just plunked down in the middle of the liquor store beer cooler for all to grab, there wouldn't be the hype. I know there's no way I'd have paid $6.75 to try a light beer at the pub had I not seen this thread where everyone had an opinion.
