I switched to Safari 4 for about a week. Went back to my normal Firefox setup. Safari is a nice browser, but it's still held back by a lack of general usability. Probably mostly a subjective preference, but Firefox feels more useful, intuitive and presents a cleaner user experience.
Firefox 3.5 is coming out soon. Should be interesting to see if the Mozilla team can start matching the Webkit team.
<rant - completely off topic>
If you use IE6 or even IE7, switch to IE8 or to a better browser entirely. If you don't have control, complain to your lazy IT admins till they are forced to upgrade. Do not take "compatibility" as an excuse. It's completely irresponsible for anyone to be using IE6 on any platform anymore.
It's insecure, completly useless at rendering anything close to web standards and generally a poor user experience. Hell, even live.com doesn't render properly in IE6. Just don't.

Sorry bout that... dealing with a few IE6 bugs today.

Here here! IE6 is nothing more than an abomination. Nothing makes me happier than looking at web stats and seeing the usage of that garbage get lower and lower. I will probably never forgive IE for it's past issues, but it's nice to at least see that 7 and 8 are at least moving in the right direction.
I've been thinking of making the safari switch for a few weeks now. Perhaps this thread will be my kick in the ass.
