Thanks for the feedback on the First Appearance Centre. I didn't want to go down there and find out that it couldn't be reduced because it a relatively low fine to start with or some other reason related to u-turns.

FYI, cop was not responding to an emergency after he left me. He flashed his lights for a couple of seconds as he pulled the u-turn (the one after he left me). I drove behind him for about 5 minutes after and he was not in a rush to get anywhere.

I am not disputing that he was within his rights to give me the ticket, just added that comment because it felt like a slap in the face for him to do the exact same thing later. That's when I lost respect for him.
