Could you not find a Flames wall paper border? I thought I saw them at Home Depot two years ago. They could have been tacky, ,my memory is a little foggy.
I'm pretty sure that we could have found a Flames wallpaper border, but we didn't have any luck in finding a peel and stick removeable border. (Home Depot has Cars and Tinkerbell for removeable borders) In 2 or 3 years my son may want a dinosaur room, not a Flames room and I wanted to be able to make that change with as little work as possible.

Peanut - I committed to having everything done by the start of August, but I had to do a fair bit of work to get the room ready as it used to be our computer room, so we just kind of kept going at it. I think we're a bit gungho about getting everything ready so that we don't need to worry about it at crunch time. I didn't want to be running home to set up a crib, or clean up if we ended up being early. 10 weeks early is maybe a bit over the top, but at least it's done!

Beachy - We actually picked the name out long before. My wife saw wooden letters at Walmart with her dad and they figured it would be great to paint his name in Flames colours. I took it a step further and said if we were doing that, that the C had to be the logo.

All in all I hope that my child doesn't go to the darkside in being an Oilers fan. Kids tend to like teams that draft big names though (my stepson is a surrogate Penguins fan), and we all know Edmonton doesn't finish far enough out of playoff contention to get a good draft pick. I won't force him to keep his room in Flames setup though when he's old enough to pick. (that should hold back some of the need to become a fan of another team to spite me!) His name though will stay as Grandpa put a lot of work into it.
