If you have kids, relatives, friends and you want to let them out on a course where they can drive the ball then head out to hickville. Bashaw and Big Valley are two examples. Heck Bashaw has a campground right beside the course. You can pull up the trailer and play golf and there is NOBODY on the course. Both were $4 a round on the honor system(money in an envelope). Both have sand greens. Putting is pointless, there is zero beauty or layout features.

There is a ton of fun features. You can hit as many balls as you feel like. Play with as many in a group as you feel like as well. Last year at Big Valley we played with like six each in two groups and it was a riot. I have buckets of balls none of which I paid for and if we hit one into the bush we just dropped another one and carried on.

Ideal place to take learners and I can try every shot I would never do on a regular course. I'm playing shots I see on TV. Hitting them three or four times to I get one I like. Heck if I could find one closer I'd be out there all the time. That would be my virtually free practice facility.
