I think you have a narrow definition of what pop music is. Pop music isnt neccessarily just the genre that we see today full of lip syncing pop tarts. There's some legitimacy to the art of creating pop music. I agree with you if you are talking about pop music today, but in my mind there is no question the pop music Michael Jackson created from when he was a small child to before he turned white, was simply put, fantastic music. Pop music in itself isn't a bad thing, the Beatles were pop when they started, Elvis was pop, heck even Nirvana was pop. Michael Jackson's music is amongst the best and most impactful music ever created.
