I don't think a lot of people know it is trashy or plays cheesy music, they actually think Cowboys is the place to be in Calgary.
Cowboys is easily the most famous nightclub in Calgary. It is known to a fair number of people in Canada as Calgary's preeminent night spot when in reality it isn't. It is a dump.

Its pretty unfortunate that Cowboys is considered the most famous club in Calgary, I agree with you there. But it probably has that status because there aren't really any clubs that give it a run for its money. I don't think Calgary has much of a "clubbing" scene at all really.
As for the people who don't think its trashy... who are they kidding? Its trashy. If people are into that kind of place, thats fine, but there's no denying its not the classiest of places.
