Basically Trip Advisor is your friend.
When we booked the hotel it was like 90percent 4/5 or 5/5 but in the month and a half leading up to the trip it dropped to 50-50. Must have had new management or something.
The issue with new hotels is that all the services may not be available.. Go on trip advisor and read what people are saying.

From the reviews I've read, it sounds like everything is top-notch with the exception of the food being just "good." Personally, I think that's a forgone conclusion at all-inclusives.
