What fascinates me about the show now is the machinations of network television. All those advertisers and product placements they whored their families to are riding this all the way to the end, taking every last opportunity to advertise and sell their wares on the backs of this misery. A part of me secretly loves it - they made their deal with the devil and its literally costing them a pound of flesh. How anyone in this day and age could not see it coming, I don't know, but I guess all that money and fame is awfully seductive.
